I purchased a tire and scratch package on a leased bmw that I recently returned. I was later submitted a bill for 671 dollars for scratches and tire damage. When I submitted my claim I was told the company is “not responsible for tire damage and scratches”. What is it responsible for then? And why call it a scratch and tire policy? Do not use this company!

DO NOT USE THIS GAP INSURER

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Easycare supposedly prides themself on “care” and “timeliness” but they do neither. They have dragged out my claim for weeks with constant requests for new documents and procedural delays. This company is the absolute worst. I will be filing a complaint today.

Easycare sucks.. They are crooks.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
My son bought a car and got suckered into buying the Easycare insurance.. After recalls on the motor, his motor blew. At first we were told we had to bring in receipts for them to pay. So we did. They still refuse to pay.. $7500 for a motor to be put in.. We only owe $15000 on the car.. It's {{REDACTED}}. Then I bought a car last month from the same dealer and bought the extra insurance. I wish my son's car would've blown up before I did because I would've never gotten it. I believe the dealer and Easycare are working together to screw everyone. It's definitely not over, we are getting a lawyer..

Easycare refused to help me

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
There was an accident on a bridge in front of us. My car battery died. The bridge is slightly icy and it is 1am. I called Easycare, and they said they uld not help me because there drivers didn't feel safe driving to help me. Really? What use are they when they can't help you in a time like this. Easycare called me back and said they may be able to send a tow truck but it could take over 90 minutes. Unbelievable. Worthless!

Ripped off, fraudulent company

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I had bumper to bumper coverage, yet Easycare refused to cover replacement of my water pump, they said NO to replace water pump, Easycare will send out an "inspector expert" to check and refuse work that they know they should be covering. It turns into a back and forth fight over coverage that gets dragged out for days before you finally give in, (because I need my car back).

So I had to pay for the water pump because they would only cover the gasket.

But lesson learned NEVER AGAIN will I Ever be suckered into purchasing so called "extended warranty" from Easycare. Learn from my mistake and stay way from this fraudulent warranty company.

Do Not Buy an EasyCare Vehicle Service Contract

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I have a 2014 Chevy Equinox in which I paid for a VSC (Vehicle Service Contract). My engine failed.

The failure was not caused by me. I regularly had the car serviced and took good care of the car. The rear main seal failed while I was driving on the interstate and all of the oil quickly ran out of the engine. By the time I got the engine shut down, there was a total failure.

EasyCare refused to honor the warranty stating that it was a design flaw and they do not cover design flaws.

Couldn't every automotive failure be ultimately attributed to neglect or a design flaw? So giving them money to cover failures is a waste money as they did nothing but deny my claim and now I am stuck with a huge bill.

Easy Care Auto Plan Waste of Money

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I bought a bumper to bumper plan that did not cover bumper to bumper as the dealer promised. I used plan once for a check engine repair which it covered.

Had problems with heating and air system switches with plan DID NOT cover. Check engine light just came on. Over mileage expiration by 56 miles and they will no longer honor contract. You are better off to save 2800.00 dollars and pay for repairs as they happen out of your pocket.

The whole term of my contract, 36 months 36,000 miles I paid 2800.00 for , I only had one repair Easycare covered which was 300.00. Don't be a fool like me.

Rip off company

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Had my car in for a repair at Ford that seems to me should have been covered. Service manager fought tooth and nail to get them to cover a worn hub and EasyCare wouldn't cover the worn axle that was also bad because the Ford service manager made the mistake of saying the word rust. Had the service manager said worn axle - no problem - covered. EasyCare said they do not cover corrosion or rust issues. Which covers just about every car in the NorthEast and Great Lakes region. If you have this rip-off company who try like blazes to get out of covering ANY repair make sure you service manager NEVER uses the word rust. I will never use this company again and I will advise everyone I know to avoid them as well. If your dealer tries to get you to buy a warranty from this company I would advise you to decline. It's not worth the aggravation.

Bumper to Bumper My ***

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

So I bought a bumper to bumper Easy care warranty from the BMW dealership they had my care for two days for inspection it passed all of easy cares inspection. My warranty cost me 8,700 dollars for a 30 months 30 thousand mile warranty.

A little while later I had a engine malfunction light come on I took it to the dealership they said it was a bad intake and lower turbocharger they paid for the intake but claimed that the turbo was pre existing because the cost of it was right at 5K. So there you go the bumper to bumper warranty isn't really a bumper to bumper warranty when all they have to do is claim its pre existing and they dont have to pay for it.

Insurance is a SCAM

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

First off i would like to say the worst customer service i have ever dealt with. Spoke to a woman Mary in the claims department who started off very nice and by the end of the conversation was very rude to say the least.

Was then connected to a manager who was nasty right from the start. Let me tell you how AWESOME this insurance is. I had a HUGE air bubble on my front right tire. The bubble was so big and ready to burst any minute.

The insurance company denied to cover this tire due to the face it was not "leaking" any air. I then tried to explain to them i can be driving and the car can have a blow out at any minute. Killing myself or another driver. Bottom line the dont cover the tire.

Fast forward a month later my tire now completely blows OUT!! LUCKILY as i came to a stop at my house i saw the tire pressure dropping completely. i called road side assistance who then tows my car to Mercedes. They later inform me this great tire insurance will not cover this tire either.

but i dont get it? its more then a leak, its completely flat. Why wont they cover you ask? Well because my tire is now too "worn" out.

So let me get this straight they wouldnt cover the tire when i took it on a month prior becasue the air bubble that was the size of the sun didnt have a leak!! but now the tire is BLOWN OUT but is too worn out! So in reality you have to get LUCKY enough to get a flat tire at the right time!! becasuse if you wait to long, well then your out of luck!

if that huge air bubble doesnt have a leak, well your out of luck.

Needless to say they made me pay $400 out of pocket! so i canceld my insurance, you guys are a JOKE!

The Ford focus is known to have problems with engine complete shut-down due to problems with gasket feed pumps, carbon canisters & purge valve issues. I purchased the Ford Focus sel model in 2016. This purchase came with the EasyCare plan type "Add on miles". So far i add to replace the car horn not covered by warranty. The carbcan not be used due to engine stall while driving.,very dangerous. The car dealer was Cochran of pgh pa.

TERRIBLE PURCHASE FROM A TERRIBLE COMPANY

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
The warranty company refuses to cover obvious mechanical repairs addressed in the contract. In my opinion, it was pointless to buy the contract. After my 2011 GLK 350 would not crank or even roll over twice in the same week (for about and hour once and 2 hours the next time) leaving me stranded and late for work, I decided to schedule a service with the dealership. They completed a diagnostic test on my vehicle that showed FAULT CODE FOR STEERING LOCK. REPLACEMENT RECOMMENDED * PARTS: QUOTE STEERING LOCK and TRANSMISSION OIL $ 536.63 TRANSMISSION LEAK FROM PAN. TRANSMISSION SERVICE RECOMMENDED TO RESOLVE LEAK. * PARTS: QUOTE TRANS SERVICE ADDITIONAL SERVICE REPAIR $ 1115.93 TRANSFER CASE LEAKING. RESEAL RECOMMENDED * PARTS: PLEASE QUOTE T-CASE RESEAL All of these things are clearly stated in my extended warranty contract attached. I paid $4,129 total for this contract to cover my car for 75,000 miles. My car is now close to 60,000 and they are refusing to pay for my repairs that in total come out to be $2,732.64. I expected to cover a very small portion of this but definitely not $2,500. The only thing they are going to cover is to patch a portion of the leaking transmiss not a replacement. When the inspector arrived my car started, therefor, the code must be invalid. Now if it happens again I have to get my car TOWED to the dealership and hope it doesn't crank to get them to approve the work. This is NOT GOOD BUSINESS!!! I think everyone should be aware of and not bother purchasing a warranty from this company. I was planning on extending mine if they covered these repairs, but now absolutely not! I am very upset about this, and wish I used the money for the warranty to actually pay for the repairs to the vehicle. After all what is the point in the warranty? Not to mention that my car has been in the shop for 2 weeks as I'm dealing with this, leaving me to pay for lyfts to work everyday. The issue could have been resolved by now if they would just APPROVE the work.

My car was totaled, not my fault

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I had usaa insurance and easy care gap for my loan. Usaa left me owing about $1000.00 so I contacted easy care. After submitting all necessary documents they sent my bank $189.00 and told me to contact the dealership where I purchased the gap for a refund. 3 weeks have passed and 3 car payments i have had to pay. DO NOT BUY EASY CARE INSURANCE . The accident occurred 2/9/17 and now it's May.
