Easycare Claim Review
- Do not honor extended warranty
Is this company under a different management?
Disclaimer** I am NOT affiliated with EASY CARE in anyway. I've used Easy Care in the past and I was very impressed with it. I had a BMW 330i and never had any problems with the claim.
One thing I notice, not everyone is taking their to the dealership. I've always took my Bimmer into the dealer if there was a mechanical or electrical problem. It would take 15-20 mins for the advisor to confirm the coverage with the insurance also not sure which coverage you guys have. I notice the different level of coverage have things you will never need. Only the top tier coverage seems to be the most effective. They just cover "everything" within your car.
However, after reading these reviews, I'm wondering if they are under a different management. I'm also questioning my own purchase.

Yes, I had the same problem. I have a Cadillac srx 2011..
when we first got the Cadillac, it had a thumping noise in the accelerator pedal. We bought the car in 2015 because my husband didn't want me to be stranded while he is on the road as I am a registered nurse student in Louisiana. The dealership rotated my front tires to the back instead of fixing the problem. Then my ignition coil was going bad which they did not want to warranty.
, now my catalytic converter on the intake manifold exhaust is going bad, and my husband is told it's not covered even if it is dealing with the exhaust.
When I graduate in 2018 as a registered nurse, we are getting rid of the srx. Also, when it gets cold, when turning my steering wheel, it makes a grinding noise. Trouble before I could even really enjoy it.
I understand things break, but *** easy care you have to do better. Anonymous in Louisiana.....EASYCARE you are getting Paid so you need to honor your warranty....

Terrible Company
Terrible company! If your dealer wants to sell you EasyCare run the other way!
We had two experiences over four years, both absolute nightmares. In both cases they paid a tiny percentage of actual charges, refused to provide the "book" upon which coverage decisions were allegedly based, tried to blame the repair facilities, and the adjuster, or whomever was making coverage decisions refused to communicate with us, the so called "customer".
Our two experiences were four years apart, involved two different repair facilities, in two different geographical locations and involved two different mechanical issues. Looks like a pattern to us.

Easycare Car Warranty Review
Do NOT Buy an Extended Warranty from this Company
I bought a car with the warranty from Easy Care - had the oil changed religiously as it is a VW and requires it. Check engine light comes on, take it to the dealership and they find metal shavings in the oil pan.
Contact Easy Care and they first ask for all maintenance records - when they are provided with ALL of the maintenance records, they then tell the dealership they must perform more detailed tests to determine the cause - meaning remove the top of the engine. Cost to me $500.00 extra - then that wasn't good enough - they wanted them to go further into the engine to determine the cause of the problem - the dealership told me it would be cheaper for me to put another engine in the car.
I fought and fought with them, but they kept saying that unless they had 100% proof that it was because of an engine component failure they were not paying for anything! THIS IS A HORRIBLE COMPANY AND I WOULD CAUTION ANYONE FROM USING THEM!!!!!!!!

BEWARE!!!! Deductible is PER Visit
Do NOT buy Easy Care Warranty for your car. The deductible is per visit so if the car is not fixed to your satisfaction and you don't immediately put it back in the service department ( a real problem if you pick it up after service is closed for the day) you will have to pay the deductible again (and again and again if it takes several trips to fix). Customer service refuses to bend on this.
This warranty was "recommended" by the dealer (Ford) and they refuse to stand tall and suck up the cost as it was their ineptitude that caused the whole issue.
Preferred solution: Price reduction
Do not buy this warranty!!
I had experience with Easy Care for almost 4 years and did not benefit from it at all. They refused provide coverage every time I needed it.
I had to pay for my repairs out of pocket while having this "warranty". The list of things that they cover is very limited, and is much shorter than the list of things that they don't cover. Absolutely NOT worth the money that they charge (mine was $2500). It was such a waste!
Please be mindful, if you have extra few thousands dollars sitting around, better put them aside, like on separate account, and use them for the repairs you need.
Giving money to Easy Care is like throwing them out into a big black hole. You can't get them back, and you can't get covered.

The catalytic converter is covered under your federal emissions warranty for 8 years or 80k miles. EasyCare didn't ***, the dealer did. Should have been a federal warranty claim through the manufacturer that is handled by your dealership.
Not resolved!!! My husband and I had to come out of pocket 1,200.00 dollars$.
