Easycare Claim Review

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Attempted to file claim on failed axles. Easy Care refused to honor claim even though it was covered in the warranty. They said the failure was due to human error . I advised them I purchased the vehicle used and not had anyone do any work to vehicle. They still declined to assist. I paid $1100 for the warranty.

Is this company under a different management?

Disclaimer** I am NOT affiliated with EASY CARE in anyway. I've used Easy Care in the past and I was very impressed with it. I had a BMW 330i and never had any problems with the claim.

One thing I notice, not everyone is taking their to the dealership. I've always took my Bimmer into the dealer if there was a mechanical or electrical problem. It would take 15-20 mins for the advisor to confirm the coverage with the insurance also not sure which coverage you guys have. I notice the different level of coverage have things you will never need. Only the top tier coverage seems to be the most effective. They just cover "everything" within your car.

However, after reading these reviews, I'm wondering if they are under a different management. I'm also questioning my own purchase.

Easycare Car Repair Review from Abbeville, Louisiana

Yes, I had the same problem. I have a Cadillac srx 2011..

when we first got the Cadillac, it had a thumping noise in the accelerator pedal. We bought the car in 2015 because my husband didn't want me to be stranded while he is on the road as I am a registered nurse student in Louisiana. The dealership rotated my front tires to the back instead of fixing the problem. Then my ignition coil was going bad which they did not want to warranty.

, now my catalytic converter on the intake manifold exhaust is going bad, and my husband is told it's not covered even if it is dealing with the exhaust.

When I graduate in 2018 as a registered nurse, we are getting rid of the srx. Also, when it gets cold, when turning my steering wheel, it makes a grinding noise. Trouble before I could even really enjoy it.

I understand things break, but *** easy care you have to do better. Anonymous in Louisiana.....EASYCARE you are getting Paid so you need to honor your warranty....

The catalytic converter is covered under your federal emissions warranty for 8 years or 80k miles. EasyCare didn't ***, the dealer did. Should have been a federal warranty claim through the manufacturer that is handled by your dealership.

Not resolved!!! My husband and I had to come out of pocket 1,200.00 dollars$.

Now on day 8 waiting to find out if warrant will cover tensioner when "inspector gadget" came out wants mechanic to find out why it failed.. wants mechanic to remove part and show him why it failed and maybe then will get approved... mechanic told him he is not an engineer..for a total parts and labor that costs 425 to repair.. but when I called easy care to check on if it will be covered it was denied because adjuster could not hear the loud squeeling coming from the hood? You can hear squeal coming down the street. I can only assume the adjuster lied to the warranty company because that is not what he told dealership.. he heard the noise and told them to find out why it failed... But they did approve to fix my CD player with whole new stereo that cost 640$ without having to prove why it failed???... what angers me even more is I have coverage that provides a rental car but they won't give rental car til they decide if it will be covered and per dealership it would take less day to repair.. have now been waiting for "inspector gadget" to look at broke tensoner for 5 days now... never again

Owner of Easy Care is Larry Dorfman he is a very crooked person. My friend worked there briefly - they teach you to deny all claims, they send 'adjusters' who get paid to find a reason to DENY the claim and only when submitted a second time or the customer complains do they get considered and then they want employees to go out of their way to push it off to the point the customer or mechanic gives up. They decide to pay it based on how much profit they have mad on that particular client and how much money they have paid in.

Well, thank you anonymous for your review. I have a 250$ deductible on a Cadillac srx 2011 ,my husband bought for me to go to registered nurse school.

My ignition Coil went bad and EASYCARE did not want to warranty it. I have EASYCARE gold/total care which on our paper work does mention ignition coil is covered in pkg'd. Now my catalytic converter is going bad which is apart of the intake and exhaust manifold ,which they do not want to warranty as well. So now my husband is trying to fight it.

We have no problem paying deductible , but *** EASYCARE, honor your warranty please.

If we had known about this company , trust me, we would have not gotten with this company . It is ridiculous we have to pay at courtesy Cadillac in louisiana 1,073$ dollars.

Easycare Car Repair Review from Bowling Green, Kentucky

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Easy-care stated to the technician that the repair was covered. The technician started the repairs. 30 minutes later the technician was told to stop at an inspection needed to be done and to leave the car on the business rack until the car could be inspected which meant the company would lose a lot of business. The cost of the repair was $78. Easy-care wanted to rent me a car but I had to be the one to contact the car rental company give them the claim number have them come and pick me up take me back to their office to sign the paperwork and then drive the car for 24 hours until the other car can be inspected. It wasn't worth $78 to go through all that. I ended up paying it out of my pocket even though I was covered.

Easycare Customer Care Review

Bought a 09 Yukon. The dealership found leaking. They said it was "seeping" not leaking and they want me to wait until it's dripping. They're hoping it won't happen before the warranty runs out. Paid cash for the warranty and they won't fix it. What's the difference between seeping and leaking? No difference.

Terrible Company

Terrible company!   If your dealer wants to sell you EasyCare run the other way!

We had two experiences over four years, both absolute nightmares.   In both cases they paid a tiny percentage of actual charges, refused to provide the "book" upon which coverage decisions were allegedly based, tried to blame the repair facilities, and the adjuster, or whomever was making coverage decisions refused to communicate with us, the so called "customer".

Our two experiences were four years apart, involved two different repair facilities, in two different geographical locations and involved two different mechanical issues.    Looks like a pattern to us.

Do NOT Buy an Extended Warranty from this Company

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I bought a car with the warranty from Easy Care - had the oil changed religiously as it is a VW and requires it. Check engine light comes on, take it to the dealership and they find metal shavings in the oil pan.

Contact Easy Care and they first ask for all maintenance records - when they are provided with ALL of the maintenance records, they then tell the dealership they must perform more detailed tests to determine the cause - meaning remove the top of the engine. Cost to me $500.00 extra - then that wasn't good enough - they wanted them to go further into the engine to determine the cause of the problem - the dealership told me it would be cheaper for me to put another engine in the car.

I fought and fought with them, but they kept saying that unless they had 100% proof that it was because of an engine component failure they were not paying for anything! THIS IS A HORRIBLE COMPANY AND I WOULD CAUTION ANYONE FROM USING THEM!!!!!!!!

Didn't the dealership prove it was engine failure? When the tech verifies it was engine failure, that's proof enough for the warranty company to cover it.

Easycare Car Warranty Review from Saint Louis, Missouri

waste of money..... would have rather spent the 2500 i spent for this piece of *** and saved it for future repairs. Not to mention they charge a 250 deductible for the plan i have. Again waste of money. Dont even get me started with the dealership. Cant take the care there because if the repair isnt covered under the warranty they charge a fee for looking at the car...... so all in all more money being spent. Lesson learned.

BEWARE!!!! Deductible is PER Visit

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Do NOT buy Easy Care Warranty for your car. The deductible is per visit so if the car is not fixed to your satisfaction and you don't immediately put it back in the service department ( a real problem if you pick it up after service is closed for the day) you will have to pay the deductible again (and again and again if it takes several trips to fix). Customer service refuses to bend on this.

This warranty was "recommended" by the dealer (Ford) and they refuse to stand tall and suck up the cost as it was their ineptitude that caused the whole issue.

Do not buy this warranty!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I had experience with Easy Care for almost 4 years and did not benefit from it at all. They refused provide coverage every time I needed it.

I had to pay for my repairs out of pocket while having this "warranty". The list of things that they cover is very limited, and is much shorter than the list of things that they don't cover. Absolutely NOT worth the money that they charge (mine was $2500). It was such a waste!

Please be mindful, if you have extra few thousands dollars sitting around, better put them aside, like on separate account, and use them for the repairs you need.

Giving money to Easy Care is like throwing them out into a big black hole. You can't get them back, and you can't get covered.
